High Desert Food and Farm Alliance knows that a healthy community starts with better access to fresh food for everyone. With support from the Pacific Power Foundation, the Central Oregon nonprofit teams up with area healthcare practitioners to offer Veggie Rx – a fresh produce prescription program that provides locally grown fruit and vegetables and nutrition advice to people in need. It’s a fresh, effective idea that brings the whole community together for healthier living.
