Wildcats for sustainability
Weber State University makes stewardship a community calling
With a keen commitment to sustainability, advancing education and cultivating a vibrant community, Weber State University and Rocky Mountain Power have a lot in common.
It’s a partnership that began nearly 20 years ago, when Rocky Mountain Power helped the university reduce its energy use through Wattsmart® lighting and equipment upgrades. Then, with help from Blue SkySM, Weber State installed solar arrays at its Davis campus in Layton.
With its strong commitment to sustainability, the university is now on track to reach its goal of being carbon neutral by 2040—and that’s just the start.
From investing in environmental leadership to awarding grants for learning programs, see all the ways Rocky Mountain Power and Weber State are fostering new opportunities that support the mission of the university, the growth of its students and their connection to Ogden and beyond.
